Econet is a voluntary organisation working in the field of environment and sustainable development since
1989, and formally registered under the Bombay Public Trusts Act 29 of 1950.
Focus:
Conservation and sustainable use of natural resources.
Eco-restoratioon and development of degraded lands and forests.
Restoration and protection of community lands.
Watershed development and river basin planning.
Environmentally sound urban planning and civil rights.
We pursue these activities within the paradigm of social justice and the right of the indigenous communities
to use and develop natural resources in a sustainable manner.
