Description
UWTPM's main aim is to enhance the capacity of rural women to develop and implement programs aimed at
wise resource use in order to restore and maintain the environment, the natural resource
base and the supply of tree products. This will reduce costs, time and efforts required by rural women
to obtain fuel wood and poles for building.
UWTPM provides technical support for rural women groups in activities like tree planting, agroforestry,
soil and energy conservation, and food security. She strives to strengthen the organisational
capacity of rural women groups involved in natural resources activities in areas such as program management,
project design, monitoring and evaluation, and financial management.
