Description
Birdlands Sanctuary is dedicated to the preservation of New Zealand flora and fauna - Our natural heritage.
People are also important at Birdlands and there is a ongoing programme aimed at making
all of the sanctuary accessible to everyone - no matter what their degree of mobility.
Birdlands Sanctuary is home to a large variety of birds, both native and introduced. Some are kept in
the aviaries, while others live in the bush and hill areas at the sanctuary.
