A non-profit NGO established in 1984. Its main aims are the study and conservation of Cyprus' nature and of the island's environment and surrounding sea. Has focused mainly on the marine / coastal environment and has promoted the setting up of protected areas, including the Akamas peninsula. Has worked extensively on marine turtles and Mediterranean monk seals, undertaking the "Monk Seal Survey of the Coasts of Cyprus" with the Greek organisation MOm in 1997.
